The documentary, “20 Years of Made in Oklahoma Food Innovation,” highlights how FAPC was started, the impact the center has on Oklahoma and the food industry, and three Made in Oklahoma companies FAPC has assisted: Suan’s Foods, Ace in the Bowl Salsa and Diane’s Signature Products.

FAPC faculty member receives Distinguished Alumni Award

- n Oklahoma State University Robert M. Kerr Food & Agricultural Products Center faculty member was recognized as the 2017 recipient of Michigan State University’s Biosystems & Agricultural Engineering Distinguished Alumni award. Dani Bellmer, FAPC food process engineer and biosystems and agricultural engineering professor, received the award from her alma mater during the BAE Showcase on April 27 in East Lansing, Michigan. This award recognizes an alumnus who has worked in a BAE profession for more than 10 years and has contributed significantly to the industry.

FAPC seeking college students for food and beverage innovations

Kerr Food & Agricultural Products Center is challenging college students to share their creative and innovative ideas for new food and beverage products for a chance to compete in a product development competition. The Food & Beverage Product Development Competition will be held Sept. 12 from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will foster creative research, idea development, product and process development, and commercialization potential and evaluation. However, individuals or teams must complete the entry form by April 28.

Appointed by the Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, Max McDermott, owner of deVine Water Co. in Jet, Oklahoma, joins the 16-member Industry Advisory Committee to help oversee the center’s mission and vision.
