OSU Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources to recognize Champions and Distinguished Alumni
The Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources at Oklahoma State University is dedicated to making available science-based information relevant to improving the quality of life for all Oklahomans. This is not possible without the achievements and excellence of its alumni, as well as other leaders around the world who may not be alums of the college, but contribute to its mission. To acknowledge some of these outstanding alumni and friends of the university, DASNR recently selected its Distinguished Alumni from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, and DASNR Champion award winners.
Greenhouse Learning Center to provide cutting-edge educational opportunities at OSU
The footprint of Oklahoma State University is ever evolving to continually meet the changing needs of students. With a groundbreaking ceremony this morning, students in OSU’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, will soon have access to a new facility that will better prepare them to enter the professional workforce. The Greenhouse Learning Center, a $6 million facility, will replace and improve functions of OSU’s existing teaching greenhouses that have been in use for decades. Construction is expected to be completed in fall 2019.
OSU’s Department of Animal Science shows progression with new name
The Department of Animal Science within Oklahoma State University’s Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources will change its name to the Department of Animal and Food Sciences. The change, effective July 1, was made after input from departmental faculty, staff, current students and alumni.
Cartmell honored with Award for Excellence in Teaching
May 30, 2018
STILLWATER, Okla. – Dwayne Cartmell, a professor in the department of agricultural education, communications and leadership at Oklahoma State University, was recognized with the Award for Excellence in Teaching at the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Scholarships and Awards Banquet March 29.
