- CASNR undergraduate presenting research at global event
- Oklahoma State University environmental science major Rainee DeRoin loves all things water. For the past two years the 21-year-old junior has monitored seven small watersheds — including lands that have eastern redcedar, prairie and switchgrass — at OSU’s 1,820-acre Cross Timbers Experimental Range southwest of Stillwater as part of a long-running research study. DeRoin has been selected to present her findings at the Second World Congress on Undergraduate Research this May in Germany.
- Alva’s Cathy Mapes named CASNR outstanding freshman
- Cathy Mapes from Alva, Oklahoma, recently was named Oklahoma State University’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Charles and Magda Browning Outstanding Freshman for 2019. Mapes was recognized at the annual CASNR Scholarship and Awards banquet on March 28, where the college awarded more than $330,000 in scholarships and recognized student, faculty and alumni leaders.

- Oklahoma State University’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Alumni Board recently honored Cortney Cowley of Kennard, Nebraska, as a 2019 Early Career Achievement Award recipient at the 2019 CASNR Scholarships and Award Banquet.
- Burlington’s Travis Bradshaw receives CASNR Alumni Early Career Achievement Award
- Oklahoma State University’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Alumni Board recently honored Travis Bradshaw of Burlington, Oklahoma, as a 2019 Early Career Achievement Award recipient at the 2019 CASNR Scholarships and Award Banquet.
