Pre-Vet in Mexico

June 2-13, 2020

Course Highlights

  • Specially designed for Pre-Veterinary students or those with an interest in animal agriculture.
  • Network and work with faculty and veterinary students from the only AVMA accredited university in Latin America.
  • Get hands-on field veterinary medicine and surgery experience side-by-side with Mexican veterinarians and veterinary students.*
  • Learn more about animal industry, wild life preservation, and animal welfare, human-animal interaction in Mexico.
  • Attend an international veterinary conference.
  • Learn about citrus, vanilla, banana cultivation, tour archaeological sites, learn about French migration to Mexico, and enjoy a beautiful beach!

*Participation in hands-on veterinary activities will depend on the availability and condition of the animals.

Course Options

  • AG 3803: International Study Tour in Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources: Mexico          (3 credit hours with I designation*)


*Undergraduate students at Oklahoma State University are required to take a class that carries an I designation for graduation purposes

Estimated Cost*

  • Course Program Fee= $1,500 (includes round trip flight Dallas-Mexico City/ Mexico City- Dallas, lodging, in-country transportation, admission/entrance fees, and most meals)
  • Domestic flight (if applicable)
  • Course Tuition= $897
  • Personal Expenses= ~$200 (suggested)
