Oklahoma State University’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Alumni Board recently honored Robyn Rudisill of Springdale, Arkansas, as a 2016 Early Career Achievement Award winner at the 2016 CASNR Scholarships and Awards Banquet.

The award is selected by the CASNR Alumni Board of Directors to honor outstanding young alumni who have excelled early in their careers.

“Robyn has always been considered a leader and you can see that in her professional career,” said Brian Vowell, CASNR Alumni Board president. “From her time spent working within CASNR, and now for Tyson Foods to recognize her abilities and place her in a leadership position within their company, I don’t think anything I say can tell you in any more detail as to how impressive an individual she is.”

Originally from Mountain View, Oklahoma, Rudisill graduated from OSU in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications. Rudisill later earned her master’s degree in leadership education from the University of Nebraska in 2005.

Rudisill currently serves as the senior director of talent pipeline for Tyson Foods in Springdale, Arkansas. She has been with Tyson since 2007, and works to connect talent management with Tyson’s strategic business plan by directing talent engagement initiatives.

“I am truly honored to be recognized with the Early Career Achievement Award by the CASNR Alumni Board,” Rudisill said. “I am grateful to have my roots firmly planted in the agriculture industry and look forward to giving back and helping develop the future leaders of our important industry.”

Prior to working at Tyson Foods, Rudisill served CASNR as the coordinator of prospective student services. In this position, she worked to recruit future students and served as the advisor for the CASNR Ambassador team.

“My CASNR undergraduate experience as well as the strong network of professional leaders established within the agriculture industry have helped support my continued growth and career development,” Rudisill said. “My time at OSU helped defined my interests, developed my abilities and sparked my desire for a career focused on making a difference for others.”

CASNR believes in the value of hands-on education and the importance of having a well-rounded student experience. The award-winning faculty members are dedicated to developing students and passionate about adding value to the total educational experience.
