OSU Agricultural, Food, Environmental and Natural Sciences Career Fair to connect students, potential employers
STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State University students will have an opportunity to explore career options, meet industry professionals and make connections for internships and full-time jobs at the Fall 2014 Agricultural, Food, Environmental and Natural Sciences Career Fair. The event will be held September 9 from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Gallagher-Iba Arena on the OSU-Stillwater campus.
More than 80 organizations are slated to participate in the event, which is hosted by the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Career Services office. Included are publicly and privately owned corporations, non-profit and government agencies, as well as graduate colleges.
“CASNR students have impressive knowledge and experience related to agriculture, food and environmental and natural sciences, and we are pleased to offer this opportunity to match the skills of our students with the needs of employers each year,” said Amy Gazaway, CASNR student success coordinator. “There is something for everyone at this event. Seniors can learn about specific employment opportunities and continuing education opportunities, while students of other classifications can also network as they explore career options and begin their internship search endeavors.”
The Career Fair is open to students of all majors and classifications. Each year, more than 1,000 students from across the university attend, Gazaway said.
A selection of Career Fair organizations will be part of “Career Fair: At the Movies” on September 4 from 5 to 8 p.m. in 101 Ag Hall. This networking event provides an opportunity for students to learn about each company prior to visiting the Career Fair.
