STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State University’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources will hold its annual CASNR Roundup August, 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Wes Watkins Center.

More than 40 college and departmental clubs, organizations and competitive teams will set up booths and provide information to attendees so they can learn about getting involved in CASNR. Current club members, advisers and alumni will be available to visit attendees and answer questions.

“We strongly encourage students to become involved in organizations within the college and Roundup is a great opportunity to expose them to the quantity and diversity of clubs offered through CASNR,” said Steve Damron, assistant dean, CASNR Academic Programs.

Networking with industry leaders, getting to know faculty, social interaction and a sense of belonging are just a few of the things students will experience by joining student organizations, Damron continued.

Hosted by the CASNR Student Council, the event is a relaxed, friendly way for students to network and learn about the clubs and opportunities available in the college.

“CASNR Student Council knows involvement in organizations in CASNR is vital to students’ success while at OSU,” said Alison Slagell, CASNR Student Council president.

The CASNR Student Council hosts the event each year in conjunction with the CASNR Alumni Board, a significant sponsor of the event. Board members assist with the planning and preparation of the event as well as attend in order to engage and connect with students.
