CASNR graduate students, faculty honored for contributions to OSU graduate education

Oklahoma State University graduate students, staff and faculty were recognized with awards presented by the Graduate College and the Graduate and Professional Student Government Association (GPSGA) April 14 during the college’s annual spring awards ceremony. Several students and faculty members from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources were recognized at the event.

Several students and faculty members from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources were recognized at the event.

Award descriptions and CASNR recipients are as follows:

Summer Dissertation Fellowships
Support summer research for outstanding OSU post-candidacy, doctoral students from any disciplinary or interdisciplinary program. The Fellowships include a $6,000 summer award and tuition waiver.

Research Excellence Awards
Recognize outstanding research accomplishments as reflected in the thesis and dissertation. Awardees receive a Presidential Letter of Commendation and a commemorative plaque from the Vice President for Research.

  • Dr. Adam Cobb, PhD in Natural Resource Ecology and Management, College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources, advised by Dr. Gail Wilson
  • Gabriella Bragoli, Master’s in International Agriculture, College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources, advised by Dr. Craig Edwards

 

Graduate College Ambassadors
Are student volunteers who are passionate about OSU, excited about their graduate student experience, and eager to share their insight with future graduate students and other diverse audiences in a positive and professional manner. The list of ambassadors below were awarded certificates regarding their years of service to the Graduate College.

Phoenix Awards
The Phoenix Awards are the highest recognition bestowed by the Graduate and Professional Student Government Association (GPSGA). The awards recognize exemplary achievement in leadership, scholarship, professional involvement, and university and community service in the categories of faculty ($500 award) and doctoral and master’s students ($350 awards).

Faculty Phoenix Award:

  • Dr. Gail Wilson, Natural Resource Ecology & Management, College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources

 

Doctoral Student Phoenix Award:

  • Chrisse Segars, Crop Science, College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources
