CASNR Student Success Leader Application
The Student Success Leaders are a select group of students who provide outstanding service to the college and community by providing peer education and/or mentoring to assist with efforts related to recruitment, student development and retention, and career development. The Student Success Leader teams accepting applications are the CASNR Ambassadors, FIT SAMs, AG 1011 SAMs and Student Success Leaders for CASNR Multicultural Programs.

AG 1011 SAM - Serve as a mentor in CASNR’s freshman orientation course
Ambassador - Assist with CASNR recruiting
Career Liaison - The 2018-2019 academic year will be a pilot year for the revised Career Liaison role. As such, there will be no selection of new Career Liaisons for the 2018-2019 academic year.
FIT SAM -Mentor CASNR’s Freshmen in Transition students
Student Success Leaders for CASNR Multicultural Programs - Serve as liaisons and peer leaders for experiential learning and student development opportunities

Eligibility
- Currently pursuing an academic major within CASNR, and continued work towards a CASNR major throughout 2018-2019 academic year
- 3.0 cumulative GPA at beginning of term of service and maintained throughout 2018-2019 academic year, semester GPA below 2.75 shall result in probationary status.
- At least 12 hours of earned college credit by beginning of 2018-2019 academic year (Ambassador candidates must have at least 12 hours earned at OSU-Stillwater)

Student Success Leaders Applicant Mixer sign-ups become available (103 Ag Hall) Limited participation spots are available for each reception time. Reservations for candidate reception participation will be honored on a first-come-first-serve basis. Students with questions about the application and selection processes may schedule a time with one of the Student Success Center Coordinators to further learn about the opportunities. |

Retreat & Training: Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018; 5:15-8:00pm
Ambassador Training: May 12-15 OR Aug. 17-19 OR Aug. 24-26 (dependent upon schedules; to be determined post-selection)

Training dates are mandatory. Students with potential conflicts should contact the advisor as soon as possible.
Financial Commitment to CASNR Student Success Leaders
The CASNR Student Success Center and Student Success Leader teams will pay for individual SSL uniform expenses, including but not limited to name tag, polo, dress shirt, jacket, and retreat and training expenses, including but not limited to transportation, registration, meals, and lodging. Acceptance of a 2018-2019 CASNR Student Success Leader position indicates an understanding of this financial investment by the College and student organizations involved, as well as a commitment by the selected student to serve for a full term in the selected 201-2019 Student Success Leader capacity. If a selected Student Success Leader chooses to break his or her commitment following acceptance of their position, the following financial consequences will be imposed:
- If the resignation occurs between June 1, 2018 and August 14, 2018, the student’s Bursar account will be charged for 50% of the cost of the 2018-2019 Student Success Leader uniform and training expenses incurred up to the date of the resignation, as well as any cancellation or change fees that accompany the necessary adjustments in orders, reservations and registrations.
- If the resignation occurs between August 15, 2018 - May 1, 2019, the student’s Bursar account will be charged for 100% of the cost of 2018-2019 Student Success Leader uniform and training expenses incurred up to the date of the resignation, as well as any cancellation or change fees that accompany the necessary adjustments in orders, reservations and registrations.
