The Niblack Research Scholars program provides support to OSU undergraduates to conduct research in one of OSU’s research laboratories. The purpose of this award, made possible by the generosity of Dr. John Niblack, is to give outstanding students an appreciation of scientific research in a laboratory environment at an early stage of their academic careers.
Please note that the program offers two schedules: Schedule A is a fall/spring/summer program; Schedule B is a summer/fall/spring program. Scholars must commit to return the following October to present their research to Dr. Niblack at his annual visit.
The guidelines and applications are available on the program’s web site at: niblack.okstate.edu.
Eligible research areas are:
Animal Science, Biochemistry, Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering, Botany, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Entomology and Plant Pathology, Geology, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Microbiology, Natural Resource Ecology and Management, Nutritional Sciences, Physics, Physiological Sciences, Plant and Soil Sciences, Veterinary Pathobiology and Zoology.
