The Student Success Leaders are a select group of students who provide outstanding service to the college and community by providing peer education and/or mentoring to assist with efforts related to recruitment, student development and retention, and career development. The Student Success Leader positions are made up of five work groups or teams - CASNR Ambassadors, Career Liaisons, FIT SAMs, AG 1011 SAMs and Transfer SCOUTs.

AG 1011 SAM - Serve as a mentor in CASNR’s freshman orientation course
Ambassador - Assist with CASNR recruiting
Career Liaison - Assist with CASNR career development services
FIT SAM -Mentor CASNR’s Freshmen in Transition students
Transfer SCOUT - Be a resource to new CASNR transfer students

Feb. 4 | Student Success Leader Information Session 6 p.m., 201 FAPC Dress: Student Casual |

Feb. 21 | Success Leader Candidate Training (SeLeCT) 9 a.m. – noon, 101 Ag Hall Dress: Student Casual * CASNR Ambassadors, Career Liaisons, and FIT SAM candidates are required to attend. A make-up assignment will be available for those with unavoidable conflicts; please notify the Student Success Center, 103 Ag Hall, in advance of a conflict, if at all possible. |
Feb. 26 | Student Success Leader Selection Mix-n-Mingle 5–7 p.m., Wes Watkins Center Dress: Business Casual * CASNR Ambassadors, Career Liaisons, and FIT SAM candidates interested are required to attend one Mix-and-Mingle Reception. A sign up for a specific reception dates will be available during the SeLeCT session on February 21. These receptions are part of the screening and selection process for SSL candidates. A make-up assignment will be available for those with unavoidable conflicts; please notify the Student Success Center, 103 Ag Hall, in advance of a conflict, if at all possible. |
