The Oklahoma State University Black Alumni Society has been awarding scholarships to continuing students since 1995. The scholarships recognize undergraduate students, enrolled at OSU Stillwater and OSU Tulsa, who have excelled in scholarship, leadership service to the campus and community and other outstanding characteristics. Each award is for a one year $1,000 scholarship; $500 in the Fall of 2017 and $500 in the Spring of 2018. Funding for these awards comes from the generous contributions at the Annual OSU Black Alumni Scholarship Golf Tournament. The OSU Black Alumni Society is proud of the contributions it makes to support the retention of students in pursuit of a degree. To assist the Scholarship Committee, carefully follow the guidelines below and please type your application. In order to answer each question fully, you may need to attach additional sheets. If you have any questions please call the OSU Alumni Association at 405-744-5368 or email chapters@orangeconnection.org

  • Service – community service (impact on others through service to campus or society in general)
  • Special Merit – scholarly efforts (scholarly research; national, international scholarships; honors college involvement, etc.) or activities that bring distinction to the University (national offices, honors including athletic involvement, or other designations that call positive attention to Oklahoma State University) or personal growth and determination (obstacles overcome in pursuit of degree, extenuating circumstances, etc.).
