Great Plains Natural Science Society scholarships
The Great Plains Natural Science Society (GPNSS) is a scientific organization that seeks to promote the conservation of natural resources of the Great Plains region. The GPNSS actively promotes the study of natural history of outstanding natural areas including geology, plants, birds, mammals, fish, insects, and other forms of life. GPNSS membership is diverse, but we continually strive to recruit student members in an effort to facilitate professional networks of those dedicated to sustainable management of the Great Plains natural resources and their habitats.
The GPNSS has established a student research award in honor of Kevin Honness, whose remarkable outlook on life and passion for wildlife was an inspiration to everyone who knew him. The Kevin Honness Memorial Scholarship will award a graduate and an undergraduate student member of the Great Plains Natural Science Society $250 to assist in their educational and research endeavors.
New student members interested in applying should complete (1) the membership application and (2) the Honness Scholarship application form and return it along with an (3) $15 student 2016 GPNSS membership dues, (4) unofficial copy of transcripts, (5) CV, and (6) one letter of recommendation to:
