Fall convocation recognizes achievements at OSU; Brorsen earns top faculty award

- Oklahoma State University celebrated excellence by recognizing the achievements of faculty, staff and administrators at the University Awards Convocation Tuesday at the OSU ConocoPhillips Alumni Center in Stillwater. Several faculty members from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources were honored at the event.

- Oklahoma State University alumna Minnie Lou Bradley has been selected to the most prestigious honor an animal agriculturist can receive: Having her portrait hung in the Saddle and Sirloin Gallery in Lexington, Kentucky.

OSU to rename animal science arena in memory of Robert Totusek

- Oklahoma State University’s Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources is renaming the OSU Animal Science Arena in memory of Robert. E. Totusek, who passed away in June. A 38-year faculty member of the university, “Dr. Tot” as he was affectionately called by faculty, staff, students and alumni coached great livestock teams and performed landmark beef cattle research.

Oklahoma State University names Ochsner and Wilson to prestigious professorship

- Tyson Ochsner and Gail Wilson of Oklahoma State University’s Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources have been named Sarkeys Distinguished Professorship recipients. The DASNR professorship is awarded in recognition of individuals who have achieved a significant level of excellence while at OSU, as determined by a selection committee. The action was approved Oct. 24 by the Oklahoma A&M Board of Regents.
