AFA Academic Scholarship Application
AFA provides 30-35 AFA Leader and Academic Scholarships annually to graduating high school seniors or current college students, enrolling/enrolled in a agriculture-related, four-year degree program in the United States. These scholarships are supported by AFA Organizational Partners.

AFA Policy Institute, Food Science Institute, & Technology
Students interested in attending the AFA Policy Institute must apply and be selected for industry sponsorship. Sponsorship includes program registration and materials, lodging, transportation between meeting locations and meals throughout the Institute. Travel to the Institute, including parking and ground transportation is not included. To be eligible, students must have previously attended AFA Leaders Conference.

AFA Technology Institute
The AFA Technology Institute brings talented college men and women together for a three-day program. Students, who are selected through a competitive application process, have expressed a specific interest in agriculture technology. The itinerary will provide interaction between students and technology sector leaders; expose students to area businesses; and include discussion and training to enhance student career preparation.

Join us for an evening of eating, networking and learning at the CASNR Etiquette Dinner. Open to all CASNR graduate students. Learn reception and dining etiquette, as well as appropriate networking strategies. There will also be a panel discussion with advanced degree professionals about the value and importance of "leadership" development.

Financial Discussion for Soon-to-Be Graduates via AgChat
#AgChat takes place on Twitter, a free social networking and microblogging service that enables users to send and read short messages known as “tweets.” Tweets are 140-character posts sent by each Twitter user to the author’s subscribers, or followers. Each Tuesday, members of the #AgChat community are invited to convene online 8-10 p.m., Eastern for a “streaming” Twitter feed. Chats begin with 15 minutes of networking (please introduce yourself and your interest in agriculture as well as your name, brief job description), followed by questions the community sends to the moderator in advance on the topic of the week. The chat is fast-paced, insightful and, often, colorful. The final 5 minutes is reserved for “pitching.” Participants can plug their blog, site, product or ask for feedback on a business-related idea.
