Frank D. Lucas Washington, D.C. Congressional Program
The Frank D. Lucas Washington, D.C. Congressional Program is designed to enable students from the Ferguson College of Agriculture to work in the United States House of Representatives on policy issues associated with Congressman Lucas’ committee responsibilities. The Fellow must be a junior or senior in the college. All Ferguson College of Agriculture majors are welcome to apply. The selected student will serve 10-weeks from May 18-July 31. This is a paid internship with a total stipend of $6750, which is paid by the Lucas Office.

National Corn Growers Association William C. Berg Academic Excellence in Agriculture Scholarship
Five $1,500 scholarships are available to undergraduate college students. The five scholarship winners will be invited to visit and tour a BASF facility in 2020 and meet with key staff. Dates and details of the trip are still being developed. BASF will notify the winners directly.

Syngenta Accelerating a Generation Scholarship
Syngenta is excited to announce the launch of the annual Accelerating a Generation (AG) Scholarship program, formerly known as the Syngenta Agricultural Scholarship program, which is available annually to university students nationwide. Students currently pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degrees in crop-related disciplines are eligible to apply. Students can apply to be considered for part of $20,000 in available awards by completing a two-step process. First, they must complete an initial application form, found on the scholarship website. Within a week of completing the form, students will receive a link via email inviting them to submit a 2–5-minute video essay. Initial application forms must be completed by January 7, 2019. Video submissions will be accepted through January 15.

This annual award is given to a sophomore student, who has exhibited academic accomplishment, evidence of leadership, participation in organizations, and who have received honors or recognition during his/her freshman year.
