CASNR Student Council Officer Applications
If you want the opportunity to make a difference in CASNR, apply to serve as an officer for the CASNR Student Council. Available positions include: President, Vice President of Business Affairs, Vice President of Student Affairs and CASNR Student Spokesperson. Applications are due in Ag Hall 136 by 4:30 p.m. on March 23. Candidate interviews will take place on March 28.

AFA Animal Institute Applications
Students interested in attending the AFA Animal Institute must apply and be selected for industry sponsorship. Participants are selected based on industry and leadership involvement, career goal and articulation of the benefit of the program to their career development. This opportunity is currently available to full-time students pursuing a 4-year degree with intentions on entering the workforce in an agricultural related profession. Sponsorship includes program registration and materials, lodging, transportation between meeting locations and meals throughout the Institute. Travel to the Institute, including parking and ground transportation is not included.

AFA Crop Institute Applications
The AFA Crop Science Institute brings up to 75 talented college men and women together to take part in a three-day program. Students are selected through a competitive application process and have expressed a specific interest in the crop and soil sciences sector. The itinerary will provide interaction between students and crop sector leaders; expose students to area businesses and other related service providers and include discussion and training to enhance student preparation to enter careers in the agriculture industry.

Niblack Research Scholars Program 2017-2018
The Niblack Research Scholars program provides support to OSU undergraduates to conduct research in one of OSU’s research laboratories. The purpose of this award, made possible by the generosity of Dr. John Niblack, is to give outstanding students an appreciation of scientific research in a laboratory environment at an early stage of their academic careers.

CASNR Student Success Leader Application
The Student Success Leaders are a select group of students who provide outstanding service to the college and community by providing peer education and/or mentoring to assist with efforts related to recruitment, student development and retention, and career development. The Student Success Leader positions are made up of five work groups or teams - CASNR Ambassadors, Career Liaisons, FIT SAMs, AG 1011 SAMs and Transfer SCOUTs.

Frank D. Lucas Policy Internship
The Frank D. Lucas Policy Internship is designed to enable students from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) to work in the United States House of Representatives on policy issues associated with Congressman Lucas’ committee responsibilities. The intern must be a junior or senior in CASNR. All CASNR majors are welcome to apply. The intern will serve for six weeks, and a stipend of $1000 will be provided to assist with living expenses in Washington.
