When Samantha Siler moved to Stillwater to continue her education at Oklahoma State University, she truly made the move to the big city. Growing up in her hometown of Burlington, OK, she has a solid understanding of small-town America. With a population of just 152, Sam was one of only six students in her graduating class. But coming from a small town didn’t keep her from achieving big dreams.
Her experiences as a student in OSU’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources while earning her bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications helped Sam develop and sharpen the skills she uses daily in her professional career. She recently joined the Agricultural Communications Services staff as a communications specialist for CASNR Communications. In this role she gets to do a little bit of everything she loves … videography, photography, graphic design and social media content creation and management. She says her favorite thing about her job is working on a team and collaborating on ideas.
When she’s not busy at work, her photography business keeps not only herself busy, but also her husband, Justin, as well. On weekends, you will most likely find the pair photographing weddings. Sam also is skilled at taking family, children, senior and engagement photos.
