Director405-744-4065 Lyndall Stout is a cheerleader. No, not that kind, with the pom poms and stickers on her face as she gets the crowd fired up by flying through the air and tumbling across the floor. She’s the kind of cheerleader who sings the praises of OSU ag and natural resources to anyone who will listen. Her deep-rooted passion for and the understanding of public service started early in her career while in front of the camera, cutting her teeth as a general assignment reporter in Denison, Texas. She quickly moved up the ranks in the news broadcasting business and found herself as anchor in Little Rock, Arkansas, then Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Pennsylvania, market. She joined the OSU Ag Comm family as host of the growing SUNUP television show in 2010 and took over the reigns of the department as interim director in 2012. The interim tag was removed in 2014 and Stout has been driving the ACS ship ever since. Lyndall has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Arkansas Tech and a master’s degree in mass communications from Louisiana State University. When she’s not cheerleading for the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service, she’s spending as much quality time with her son, Spencer, as she can. |
