St. Cloud State University in Minnesota was founded in 1869, has an enrollment of nearly 20,000 students and proudly calls Blizzard T. Husky its mascot. The university also is the alma mater of Edd Beran.

Edd earned his bachelor’s degree in television production at SCSU. While there, he participated in news and sports broadcasts and also operated as a freelance producer and editor.

Upon graduation, Edd hopped on board with KTUL, Tulsa’s Channel 8, where he worked as a photographer and drone pilot. The pilot part of his employment made him feel the need … the need for speed!

But, he needed something more and found what he was looking for when he was brought on by SUNUP to be a video editor. With the frigid temperatures he experienced in Minnesota and the urban lifestyle he had in Tulsa, Edd is just dipping his toes into the rural water and is eager and excited to learn more about agriculture and be a part of Oklahoma Cooperative Extension.

In his spare time, Edd enjoys photography and taking his dog for walks. While he is proud of his alma mater, sadly, Edd’s dog is not a husky.
