In his previous life, Craig Woods was a physics major in college, managed a toy store and has been trained as a firefighter, which is evident due to the collection of helmets on one wall of his office.
At some point, he traded in his physics textbooks and graphing calculator for a video camera during his days as a student at OSU, and the rest, they say, is history. Today, and for nearly the last two decades, Craig is found behind a video camera in Agricultural Communications Services. Known as one of the office’s sweater-wearing jokesters, he has a keen sense for what will make a great video story or educational video. If you haven’t seen his documentary on the Extension centennial celebration, you need to check it out.
When he’s not behind the video camera, you’re likely to find Craig, along with his wife, Lisa, in the vineyard on their property. When they aren’t tending to their grapes, the couple is tending to their two children, as well as a cat and a dog. All other animals are on a moratorium for the time being.
In his spare time, Craig enjoys running, although he claims he’s not very fast. He also likes to read. Last summer he became a member of the Oklahoma Agricultural Leadership Program Class XVIII. Although he’s been involved in the agricultural industry through his work for nearly 20 years, he wanted to learn more.
